This is Pro Breeze's entry-level model, using Peltier (thermo-electric) cooling rather than a compressor. That's the key trade-off to understand: Peltier units are silent and cheap, but extract far less moisture per day than a compressor model like the Meaco Arete or Pro Breeze's own OmniDry range. Pro Breeze markets it explicitly for 'small spaces' — kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, caravan, wardrobe, office or garage — rather than as a whole-room damp solution.

With over 37,000 ratings on Amazon.co.uk at the time of writing, it's also one of the most bought and reviewed dehumidifiers in this category in the UK, which gives a reasonably reliable picture of long-term performance: mostly positive, with a recurring minority of reports of units failing after a year or so of use — in line with what you'd expect from a budget appliance at this price point.

Best used in a small, enclosed space: a bathroom after showering, inside a wardrobe, or on a caravan window ledge. It performs best between 20-30°C and 60-80% relative humidity — outside that range, Peltier technology becomes noticeably less effective, so it's not the right choice for a cold garage or unheated space.

It is not designed to dry laundry or dehumidify a whole bedroom — for either of those jobs, a compressor unit like the Meaco Arete One 12L will do the job many times faster and more effectively, despite costing more upfront.
