Choose it if
You want a quiet small unit with Wi-Fi and voice control, three fan speeds and a louvre for drying clothes.
Skip it if
You have a large damp home or want the cheapest option: manufacturer-quoted extraction at 27°C and 60% humidity is about 6 litres a day.
What the numbers say about the Meaco MeacoDry Arete Two 10L
1.10 L/day at test conditions
The rating is at 30°C and 80% humidity. Meaco's figure for 27°C and 60% is 6 litres a day.
2.35 dB(A) on the lowest setting
Quiet enough for a bedroom, and night mode turns every light off.
3.Wi-Fi, Alexa and Google
Change modes, target humidity and timers from your phone or by voice.
4.Five-year warranty
A DC motor, three fan speeds, a louvre and a built-in H13 HEPA filter, all backed by five years of cover.
A real-life example. Picture a one-bedroom flat with wet washing in winter. You angle the louvre at the airer and start a laundry cycle from your phone.
How to read these figures
10 litres a day is a lab rating. At 27°C and 60% humidity, Meaco quotes 6 litres a day.
Meaco quotes about 3.6p an hour to run at 26.32p/kWh. The noise level of 35 dB(A) is on the lowest of three speeds.
When to choose it over another model
Choose it over the Arete One 10L if you will use the app and the louvre. Pick the Arete Two 20L instead if your home is regular-sized or very damp.
Our verdict on this Meaco moisture control unit: 4.6/5
Buy the Arete Two 10L if you want a quiet small-home dehumidifier with app control and the best laundry features in the range. If you do not need the app, the Arete One 10L saves money. For a bigger home, the Arete Two 20L offers the same smart features with more capacity.
Who this Meaco moisture extractor is for, and how to use it at home
In a bedroom or small living room, set Smart Humidity mode to 50-55%. The unit switches itself off at that level and restarts when humidity rises, so it does not run all day.
For laundry, use the dedicated mode and the third fan speed. Angle the louvre towards the airer, close the door and keep the machine about a metre away. The timers let you schedule a run so the clothes are dry when you get home.
Use the Meaco app or a voice command to switch to night mode without getting out of bed. Night mode turns off the lights and alerts, and on the lowest fan speed the unit runs at about 35dB.
The 2.5L tank fills quickly in a very damp room. To avoid emptying it daily, fit a garden hose to the drainage adaptor (the hose is not included). Wall brackets are sold separately if you want it off the floor.
Like all compressor models, extraction drops as the room gets colder, so in an unheated room in winter a desiccant model such as the Meaco DD8L Pro is the better choice.
About Meaco's dehumidifier range
Meaco is a British brand, and the Arete Two is the upgraded Arete line. The 10L version is aimed at studios, flats, 1-2 bedroom homes and single rooms, including spaces that drop below 10°C.
Compared with the Arete One 10L it swaps the AC motor for a DC motor, adds a third fan speed, a manual louvre, adjustable timers, a premium LCD display that shows current and target humidity, and control through the Meaco app, Alexa and Google. Meaco quotes 152 watts and about 3.6p an hour to run, slightly cheaper than the Arete One 10L.
The 10 litres a day rating is at 30°C and 80% humidity. At 27°C and 60% humidity Meaco quotes 6 litres a day, and about 4.2 litres at 20°C and 60%, so treat it as a small-room machine.
It suits tech-friendly flat owners, renters who want to adjust settings without moving across the room, and anyone who dries laundry in a small space and wants the extra fan speed. If you do not care about the app, the cheaper Arete One 10L does the same drying job.

Meaco moisture control unit: pros and cons in detail
The Arete Two 10L is a feature-rich small unit. The app and voice control, three fan speeds, louvre and LCD display are all unusual at this size, and the 35dB lowest setting and 5-year warranty carry over from the Arete family. The trade-offs are the modest 6 litres a day manufacturer-quoted extraction at 27°C and 60% humidity and a small tank.
